Homeowners in 18 coastal counties can now apply for $6,000 grants
The North Carolina Department of Insurance has announced a $20 million expansion of its Strengthen Your Coastal Roof program, aimed at providing grants to homeowners who upgrade their roofing systems to meet standards set by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS).
